Customer service and keeping your account healthy
eBay does not care how clever your sourcing is. It cares whether buyers had a good experience. A handful of numbers summarize that, and they decide your selling limits, search visibility and even whether you can sell at all.
The numbers that matter
- Cancellations. Orders you cancel because you can't fulfill them. How to keep this near zero.
- Late shipments. Orders where tracking wasn't uploaded in time.
- Item not as described and returns. The quality signal buyers send you.
- Transaction defects overall. The combined bucket eBay watches. See seller standards explained.
Protect the account, in order of impact
- Don't list what you can't reliably fulfill. Out-of-stock listings are slow poison. Read why.
- Reprice or pause when Amazon moves. Don't let a sale turn into a forced cancellation.
- Reply fast and be straightforward. Most disputes shrink when the buyer feels heard. Customer service that works.
- Look at your health dashboard weekly, not after you've been restricted. The five metrics to track.
Remove the avoidable defects
Most account problems come from avoidable things: late uploads, cancellations, listing mismatches, and sign-in noise on your Amazon account. Fix those and you've removed most of what puts an account at risk.
Synked helps here: health tracking, out-of-stock pausing, repricing and buyer-message handling are built in, and you're alerted before a number crosses a line.
