A transaction defect is an order that went wrong in a way eBay counts against you: a cancellation, a late shipment, a case closed in the buyer's favor, or a negative/neutral feedback.
Some, yes. eBay removes certain defects automatically (for example, when a buyer never paid and you cancelled with the "buyer hasn't paid" reason, or when the problem was caused by an eBay site error). For others you can ask for a review through Seller Help or Seller Hub, generally within about 90 days of the transaction, and it works best when you can prove it: tracking that shows the item shipped within your handling time or was delivered by the estimated date. Some defects aren't eligible at all, such as late shipments with no tracking. Rules vary a little by country, so check eBay's current "appeal a defect" page.
