Why You Need a Backup Amazon Account (and How to Set One Up Properly)

amazonaccount healthgetting started

Sooner or later Amazon will pause, review or ask to verify an account you buy from. It happens most on new accounts that start sending orders to many different addresses within days. When it does, orders are cancelled (you are not charged) and a verification can take up to a few days. A second Amazon account lets ordering carry on with the other one while the first is sorted out.

What a good backup account looks like

Adding it to Synked

  1. Create and verify the account on Amazon first, and place one small normal order by hand so it has some history.
  2. In Synked go to Settings → Amazon Accounts and add it as a backup.
  3. That's all. Synked spreads orders between your accounts and moves them over automatically if one is paused.

Expect an ID check on new accounts

Have a photo ID ready. If Amazon cancels a few orders on a new account, open the Amazon account, finish any verification it asks for, and let Synked keep ordering with your other account meanwhile. Amazon says verification can take up to three days.

Amazon's rules can change, and Synked cannot create accounts for you. Always follow Amazon's own terms when you open one.
